Dava Siedman - President/CEO was born in Connecticut and spent her childhood following her interests in art, music and fashion. At age 15 she immersed herself in fashion by working as a sales person in a young men's and women's retail store, where she worked until college.

Dava moved to Boston to obtain her Associate Degree in Fashion Merchandising, with her ultimate goal of getting accepted to the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Living in Boston was where she first truly experienced city life, thinking to herself "this is where fashion comes from." She loved the feel of it, being a part of it. It also provided the opportunity to meet her husband, Brett Siedman. Dava achieved her goal and in 1994 was accepted as a Junior at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.

Living in New York proved to be very "in your face urban" to Dava. At F.I.T. she saw young fashion designers flaunting their "screw you" attitude on everything they wore; the energy was intoxicating! The amount of new and fresh designs, small boutiques and style conscious people put Dava's own quickly developing ambitions into overdrive! She graduated in 1996 with a BS degree in Fashion Business with a specialization in Marketing and some major life experiences. Dava then spent the next 4 years in Retail Management (two in Arizona and two in Washington) in a variety of different stores. She learned about the customer, the clothes and disturbingly, how things didn't always fit like they were supposed to yet the customer just accepted it. Dava gained experience in managing/mentoring a team, working toward the common goal of customer satisfaction. Her studies in Visual Merchandising were fine tuned as she merchandised the stores, learning what made things flow.

Dava then spent the next 3 years with a Merchandise Agency learning the power of tangible marketing and brand management. In 2000, Dava accepted a position selling promotional merchandise on site at several of the company's biggest client's facilities, again gaining invaluable knowledge of the end-user. This knowledge provided an advantage when Dava was hired in the Product Development department a year later. She worked closely with a Senior Product Developer, learning about the power that a company's brand identity could have in the marketplace. Dava spent the next two years learning about the balance between "art and science" that is needed to create a product assortment of branded merchandise that worked together, represented the client, and extending the client's brand by focusing on the end-user's wants and needs.

Dava further developed these skills when she took on a Product Developer role, handling two major accounts and assisting on a few others. Dava was passionate about respecting her client's logo guidelines, learning what her client's company stood for and what their goals were, studying the end-user's demographics to better create a product assortment with a wide reach and strong appeal and striving to utilize new and different brand placements and techniques.

In August of 2003, Dava left the company and moved to Amsterdam with her husband Brett, where he worked on a project for 10 months. While she officially wasn't working, the time off provided an opportunity to do some serious trend shopping around Europe. The C U Next Tuesday, Inc. concept began to bubble up to the surface. When Dava shared the concept with Ann, she embraced the idea. They decided to combine their talents, concepts and ideas, formed their partnership and C U Next Tuesday, Inc. went from concept to reality. Together with her partner and friend, Ann Carroll, C U Next Tuesday, Inc. will develop clothing and accessories that will get the job done; they will fit right, feel good and importantly, make a statement!
